Friend Makin' Monday: Fall Shows

Photobucket

This week's theme on Makin' Friends Monday is "Fall Shows."

[Click on the pictures to visit the websites.}

Two of my favorite shows have already premiered:

Army Wives

{yes, I am completely aware that the life I live is not the Army-wife life they portray on the show...at all. I've heard a lot of Army wives talking badly about it because of that, but it's a tv show! The last time I checked, tv shows are usually not that realistic, at all.}

Mad Men

Mad Men is a new favorite for E and me and we love it!
Thanks, Megan, for sharing your love if this show!

One of my all-time favorites, though, is The Office and it premieres on Thursday-- I can't wait!

We watch those three shows as a couple and they're the only ones we watch regularly together.

However, E is so excited about the new season of Tool Academy, while I am catching up on Season Five of Desperate Housewives. Cough, cough, guilty pleasures, cough.

Lastly, I am SO disappointed that the Buckeyes lost on Saturday. It's okay, though. I love them dearly and they'll always be number one to me! :o)

And, I didn't watch the VMAs, but I think Kanye West should be banned from all awards shows. I do happen to like his music, but seriously, he needs to realize that he's an adult. He's ruining his career and it's not like he's going to win any real awards for his music. Did anyone hear his last album? It wasn't that good at all-- E and I wasted twelve bucks when I could have downloaded the good stuff from itunes for 1.98. Someone really, REALLY needs to tell him that: A. that he's not God, B. that he's not God's gift to the world, C. that he's not the best musician in the world, and D. that he really needs to work on those social skills, of which he apparently has none. Stephen Colbert hit the nail right on the head when he said the following:

"Listen to this recent quote. 'I will go down as the voice of this generation of this decade.' Sir, you are not the voice of this generation of this decade. In fact with all the auto tuning on your records you're barely the voice of your own albums."

I really try hard to be a lady and not use bad language, but Kanye is the epitome of a douchebag.

  9. I love Army Wives and have been watching it. :) My DH was in the Air Force for 11 years, so I think the show is a bit much, too, as far as how nicely everyone gets along among the ranks, but like you said, it is just a TV show and I love it! :)

  13. HI I found you by searching for Army wife. I see your hubby was 3rd ID. My husband did his 5 years of active duty at Ft. Stewart. He is Texas National Guard now and is at Ft Bliss right now doing predeployment training. This will be his 3rd time to Iraq.

    And the douche bag of the year award goes to... (boo roll please) Kanye West. I heard security had to escort Pink away from him. She would have so kicked his butt into next year!

  15. I like Army Wives and The Office too. Completely different shows, but good ones. I agree with you that Kanye should be banned from award shows. He's so annoying.
